ROME – It crashes while paragliding and dies. Mourning in the skiing world: the Swiss skier Gian Luca Barandun died . The accident occurred in Schluein, in the canton of Grisons, in Switzerland. The 24-year-old was landing when he crashed.
The authorities are investigating the dynamics of the accident. Barandun made his World Cup debut in the Wengen combo in January 2017. In the circuit he had taken part in 17 races between superG, downhill and combined, finishing ninth in the latter specialty in last season's Bormio race.
