Gabriele "Chapo" Cossu ends up in a coma after meeting in Pagani
SALERNO – A boxing match in Pagani , in the province of Salerno, ended in tragedy. Gabriele "Chapo" Cossu , 31-year-old boxer from Porto Torres, after having received a bad punch in the head from his opponent, started to stumble and to suffer very strong pains. His team immediately threw in the towel to rescue the athlete.
Cossu was transported to the Umberto I hospital in Nocera Inferiore, where he is currently in a pharmacological coma. The Tac, according to what some press organs report, would have highlighted an acute subdural hematoma with cerebral edema. He has already undergone a delicate head surgery, his condition is serious but stable. The next medical bulletin is awaited.
