TURIN – Horrible gesture during the Turin derby. A Juventus fan has mimed the gesture of a falling plane to offend the memory of those killed in the Superga tragedy , which occurred on May 4, 1949, exactly 70 years ago. This fan was taken up by an amateur video shot with a mobile phone but unfortunately it became viral because the images went around the social networks causing the disdain of the web people.

The horrible gesture of the fan during Juventus-Turin has a recent precedent in Southampton-Cardiff on February 9th. On that occasion, two Southampton fans decided to tease their opponents by mimicking the crashed plane carrying Argentine footballer Emiliano Sala. One teased of bad taste, two days after the discovery of the body of the Argentine attacker.

The plane carrying Emiliano Sala crashed into the waters of the English Channel on the night between 21 and 22 January while trying to reach Wales from Nantes on a private flight. The two Southampton fans were immediately identified, banned from the stadium for three years and arrested by the police.
