AC Milan will face Shamrock Rovers from Ireland in the second qualifying round of the Europa League.
The match is scheduled for September 17th . It will be a dry match that will be played behind closed doors.
In case of victory, Pioli's team would reach the third preliminary round which will be played on 24 September.
The further passage of the round will give the Rossoneri the playoff on 1 October which will give them the opportunity to access the group stage of the tournament.
AC Milan's opponent
Second in the last league, Shamrock Rovers, eleven from Dublin, are the most important Irish team.
It has 17 national championships (the last in 2011) and 25 Irish Cups.
In the current championship the team coached by Stephen Bradley leads the standings, ahead of the Bohemians.
The only precedent with an Italian club dates back to the 2010/2011 season when Shamrock Rovers challenged Delneri's Juventus .
The Irish, however, had to surrender to the Bianconeri in the third preliminary round (in the first leg 0-2 thanks to a brace from Amauri, 1-0 in the return signed by Del Piero).
