ROME – Two years after the departure of Francesco Totti, Rome is preparing to greet another flag. Daniele De Rossi on Sunday 26 May, on the occasion of the last championship match against Parma, will greet his fans. It was announced by the same company through the official website where it announced how the current Giallorossi captain, after 18 years of militancy with the Roma shirt, will leave Rome.
De Rossi, however, will not withdraw from the football played. At the threshold of 36 years he plans to embark on a new adventure far from Rome, probably abroad.
"For 18 years, Daniele has been the beating heart of AS Roma," declared Giallorossi president Pallotta. “He has always embodied the Roma player fan on the field with pride, establishing himself as one of the best midfielders in Europe, starting from his debut in 2001 until he assumed responsibility for the captain's armband. We will all be moved when, against Parma, he wears the Giallorossi jersey for the last time and we respect the decision to continue his footballing career, even if, at almost 36, he will be away from Rome. On behalf of the whole company, I want to thank Daniele for the extraordinary efforts made for the club. The doors of Rome will always remain open to him with a new role at any time he will decide to return ”.
Today, at 12.45, there will be a press conference in which De Rossi will reveal what he will do in the future.
