MILAN – Dan Friedkin would be one step away from buying As Roma. As Il Corriere dello Sport reports in its online edition, Dan Friedkin , together with his son Ryan , would have landed yesterday in Milan for the final phase of the due diligence followed by the studio Chiomenti, legal partner who also dealt with the recent transfer of Fiorentina to Rocco Commisso.
As Il Corriere dello Sport continues, the advisors of the Texan tycoon would have almost completed the analysis of all the twelve companies that make up the yellow and red galaxy and the Friedkin would count on closing and signing the preliminary contract within two weeks.
The Corriere dello Sport not only talks about Friedkin but to further substantiate his thesis, he also cites the British media who speak of an alleged arrival of James Pallotta in the Premier League. The current president of Roma is about to land in the English league and is in talks with two clubs: Leeds and Newcastle.
During the Pallotta management, Roma failed to raise trophies and only played one final of the Italian Cup, lost against Lazio. The highest point of Pallotta's management was the qualification for the Champions League semifinal (then lost against Liverpool).
