AMSTERDAM (HOLLAND) – Cyclone Ciara, which is hitting Europe, has stopped football in four countries: Belgium, Holland, Germany and England. The Dutch Football Association (Knvb) has ordered the postponement of the matches of the top flight scheduled for tomorrow, for the arrival on the country of the cyclone Ciara with gusts of wind that could reach 120 km / h, putting at risk the safety of spectators and players.

Cyclone Ciara brought both Holland and Belgium to their knees. For this reason, big matches such as Utrecht-Ajax, Az Alkmaar-Feyenoord and Sparta Rotterdam-Ado Den Haag have been postponed.

So there will be no matches like Utrecht- Ajax , Sparta Rotterdam-Ado Den Haag, Az Alkmaar-Feyenoord and Emmen-Twente, because “at the end of meetings with all the clubs, local authorities and police – Knvb says -, it was established that the safety of the public and players cannot be guaranteed, due to the expected weather conditions ”. So you don't play like in Belgium.

In Germany, Borussia Monchengladbach-Cologne was postponed . They will not take to the field in the Premier League Manchester City and West Ham, which were supposed to play at 5:30 pm. Also postpone women's football matches, such as the Liverpool derby, Tottenham-Arsenal and United-Chelsea. (sources ANSA-AFP and Sky Sport).
