Coronavirus, Pordenone-Venice was not played on the pitch but on social media … (from social media)

PORDENONE – The derby between the newly promoted Pordenone Calcio and Venezia Calcio could not play on the pitch for the coronavirus but took place on social networks anyway.

The two Serie B clubs have joined the "DistantiMaUniti" initiative. As sport.sky.it writes, the initiative was announced with the traditional matchday posts, which depict the two team bomber jackets in their respective houses that extend their arms towards each other: Strizzolo for Pordenone and Longo for the Venice.

As sport.sky.it continues, the derby then went on to involve other players. So the two captains Stefani and Modolo introduced the publication of videos depicting teammates engaged in household chores or more or less sporting activities.

Pasa and Aramu were filmed while intent on making the beds, Misuraca and Cremonesi trained using their children as weights, De Agostini and Fiordilino ironed the game uniform.

This video was created to show the closeness of the two clubs to their respective fans and to raise awareness among all of the rules of conduct introduced by the government decree: "Stay at home" (source sport.sky.it).
