Coronavirus, Curva Nord Atalanta recruits painters for field hospital

BERGAMO- The North Curve of Atalanta takes the field against the coronavirus in aid of the city of Bergamo, one of the hardest hit by this pandemic.

The hottest fringe of the Nerazzurri cheer, in collaboration with the volunteers of the Bergamo Alpine troops, is recruiting painters for the field hospital that is being set up at the Promoberg Fair in Bergamo in via Lunga, in the Boccaleone district, in the direction of Seriate.

"The Bergamo Alpine troops asked us for a hand – reads the Facebook page 'Support the Curve' -. We need 10/15 painters available from today at 5pm equipped with rollers, brushes, gun, pole, silicone and ladder.

We have received hundreds of calls, we have reached the maximum number for the work of painters. Thank you all".

A few hours after this message posted on Facebook, the first coronavirus positivity of an Atalanta footballer came to light.

This is Marco Sportiello, goalkeeper who made his Champions League debut in the last game played by the Nerazzurri before the indefinite suspension of European and Serie A cups.

Sportiello played during the victory on the Valencia field. After this Champions League match, as many as 35% of the players in the Valencia squad tested positive for coronavirus. Now the "Goddess" is also waiting for the outcome of the swabs of the other players.
