VALENCIA (SPAIN) – Coronavirus did not spare Spanish football either. There are already six infected, five in Valencia and one in Elche.
The first positive footballer in Spain was Valencia defender Garay . He announced it himself via Instagram:
“2020 started badly for me. I am positive for Coronavirus, I feel good, I will follow the rules imposed by the health authorities and remain isolated, in quarantine ". But the company then announced that there are five cases in the club, "in the first team, between technicians and players".
In addition to Ezequiel Garay, here are the other coronavirus positives after the Champions League match between Valencia and Atalanta: José Luis Gayà, Elaquim Mangala, technical collaborator Francisco José Camarasa and Doctor Aliaga. All are in good condition and in isolation.
After the five cases in Valencia, there is another player who plays in Spain with a positive Coronavirus test result.
They are Jonathas de Jesùs, Brazilian striker from Elche, club of 'Segunda Division', equivalent of the Italian Serie B.
The news had been anticipated by 'Radio Marca', then the club confirmed it via social media specifying that now the team and all the staff will carry out the quarantine of fifteen days.
