ROME – UEFA officially announced the amount of money collected by Italian teams for their path in the Champions League last year. As calcioefinanza.it writes, as regards the Italian companies involved in the competition, it is very interesting to note how – apart from Napoli (38.967 million plus 1.219 million from the Europa League), eliminated during the group stage – both Juventus and Roma have collected figures very close to those of the finalist clubs.
The bianconeri, eliminated in the quarterfinals, have grossed 80,057 million euros, while the Giallorossi have even reached 83,802 million. A figure higher than that of the Liverpool finalist, due to higher collections deriving from the share of the market pool compared to the English company (45.209 million against 29.190 million).
