Champions and Europa League, UEFA thinks about these dates for the finals

NYON – Coronavirus has also revolutionized the European cup calendar.

UEFA has only one certainty, that of ending Champions and Europa League at all costs.

The best eight teams from both competitions will be selected shortly, the final stage of the season is coming, the most attractive one in terms of TV rights.

Quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals are very popular events throughout Europe, UEFA has no intention of stopping at the highlight of the season but must organize itself without jeopardizing the health of the members of the various teams who are still in the running.

Five Italian companies are interested spectators. We are talking about Juventus, Naples and Atalanta for the Champions League and Rome and Inter for the Europa League.

UEFA's plan is to end the matches that remain in the round of 16 of both competitions immediately after the end of the national championships.

Once these teams have been selected, direct elimination matches will be held behind closed doors . All this will speed up the end of the European season.

According to UEFA's plan, the finals are expected to take place in late August.

The Europa League final is expected to be held in Gdansk, Poland on August 26, while the Champions League final is expected to be held in Istanbul, Turkey on August 29.

The venues for the finals have not been moved because Poland and Turkey have been among the nations least affected by the coronavirus.
