Brian Laudrup can finally smile: "I am cured of cancer after 10 years".
Brian Laudrup has won the most difficult 'game' of his life: he recovered from cancer after a battle that lasted more than ten years.
To announce it is the player himself through his social profiles:
“Today, after 10 years of treatments and checks, I am finally cured of follicular lymphoma cancer! A huge thank you to the incredible and wonderful medical staff of the Rigshospitalet ”.
European triumph with Denmark and a brilliant career.
The most beautiful triumph in Laudrup's career was the one with the Denmark shirt in the 1992 European championship.
Laudrup was one of the strongest players of his generation in fact he was included by Pele in the FIFA 100, the special ranking that includes the best 125 players of all ages still alive.
In March 2019 he is chosen as ambassador for the 2020 European championship. Obviously the competition has been postponed due to the coronavirus but Laudrup will also be ambassador for Euro 2021.
During his brilliant career as a professional footballer, he won 13 trophies. Among these trophies, there are also the Scudetto and the Champions League won at the time of Milan in 1994.
With the Danish national team, Laudrup not only won the 1992 European football championship but also the 1995 Confederations Cup (sources Instagram and Wikipedia).
