BUENOS AIRES (ARGENTINA) – The 'Superclasico' valid for the first leg of the Libertadores Cup, between Boca Juniors-River Plate, scheduled for the 21st of Italy, has been postponed due to a storm and rain that has hit Buenos Aires.
The land of the 'Bombonera', which was supposed to host the Argentine capital derby, is reduced to a rice field and it is impossible to start the challenge.
The news of the postponement was confirmed to Clarin and to the Diary by the president of Boca, Daniel Angelici, following the summit of the leaders of Comnebol.
Comnebol, through its Twitter account, announced that Boca Juniors and River Plate will recover tomorrow afternoon, beginning at 16 Argentinians (20 Italian), the first leg of the Libertadores Cup that should have been played today.
The match was postponed due to impracticability of the field of 'Bombonera', hit by a violent storm. The teams of Boca and River, even before the news of the postponement was made official, had already returned to their respective hotels.
