The Dutch footballer noticed that something was wrong after falling ill on 10 December during the Champions League match between his Ajax and Valencia.
Immediately after, the Ajax player underwent all the necessary investigations and it was possible to diagnose this cardiac inflammation.
After a month of substantial rest, Blind returned to the field in February thanks to this subcutaneous cardiac defibrillator. This device regulates the heartbeat by sending electrical impulses.
After the final whistle of the match, the Ajax coach Ten Hag went to the press room for the usual press conference but practically all the journalists present asked him questions only about Blind.
