ROME – Rashawn Thomas , basketball wing and one of the protagonists of the ride that brought Dinamo Sassari one step away from the Scudetto, was arrested in the US after being found in possession of Ecstasy , marijuana and other drugs. Now he faces 2 to 10 years in prison.
Thomas was stopped for speeding while driving his Kia Optima in Gainesville, Florida. The policeman, having smelled marijuana inside the vehicle, told the basketball player to get out of the car he promptly searched for, finding the illegal substances. The wing, fresh two-year with coach Andrea Trinchieri's Partizan Belgrade, was released on bail of $ 32,000.
