A Barcelona player is positive for Covid-19.
The player, explained Barcelona in a statement, "has not been in contact with any of those on the team that must fly to Lisbon tomorrow to play in the Champions League".
The Catalan club then specified that the positivity emerged following the tests conducted on a group of nine players who should have started the preseason today.
The player has no symptoms, is in good health and is now quarantined at his home, the club adds.
"All people who have come into contact with the player are now monitored to perform the corresponding tests."
The Gazzetta explains:
“The player (asymptomatic, in good health and in home isolation) is among the nine players who arrived for the pre-season preparation for next season.
So one of Pedri, Trincão, Matheus Fernandes, Todibo, Wagué, Aleñá, Rafinha, Miranda and Oriol Busquets.
