Adriano Bonaiuti , the 53-year-old coach of Inter goalkeepers, was involved in a serious road accident, crashing his bike into an SUV .

The accident occurred on Sunday morning, August 23, in the district of San Francesco in Grottammare, in the province of Ascoli Piceno, and Bonaiuti, is hospitalized in Torrette hospital in serious condition.

Bonaiuti was heading towards the Adriatica road for a training session when he crashed into an SUV that was reversing out of the gate of a house.

As reported by Il Resto del Carlino , Bonaiuti ended up against an SUV. In the impact, the former footballer broke through the rear window of the car he had collided with.

Immediate rescue with the intervention of the ambulance and then the helicopter rescue. The 53-year-old was reanimated and transported to the Ancona hospital, where he is still hospitalized, in red code. In the accident he remedied numerous injuries, with several suspected fractures.

During his long career as a goalkeeper , he wore the jerseys of Verona, Padua, Palermo, Cosenza, Trapani and Pescara in Serie B. Back as second goalkeeper in Serie A with Udinese, he later became the goalkeeper coach of the teams coached by Spalletti, Ventura, Guidolin, De Canio and since 2013 he has been at Inter.
